Vanguard Fire & Security Systems, Inc. is looking for a Shop Technician to join our team at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. This person must have exceptional attention to detail and be able to adapt to new requests to repair, test and maintain fire equipment.
The position is key in being able to deliver effective, safe products to our job sites.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to shop requests to test, charge and repair fire extinguisher systems
- Safely inspect fire extinguishers, identify safety issues and ensure each system is up to code
- Track incoming inventory and outgoing field requests
- Organize job orders for shipping
- Maintain shop cleanliness, safety, and daily operations
Qualifications:
- Must be adaptable and maintain a positive attitude in a changing environment
- Must be willing to learn and driven to start a new career
- Be able to bend, lift, and move 50-100 lbs on a regular basis
- Strong problem solving and communication skills required
